The extra outer envelope has been used throughout history to protect the invitation's final arrival to guests. With fewer horse and buggy mail carts kicking up mud on letters, this isn't as much of a concern today. However, outer-inner envelopes are still widely used as part of tradition and formal appearance.

For extra fancy points, use an outer & inner envelope with your invitations.

• When printing at home we highly suggest purchasing a sample first. Not all printers can handle our heavy weight cardstock and unique finishes.

• Use the Outer Envelope in combination with the Inner Envelope for an extra elegant invitation. The Outer Envelope is not intended to be used alone as a mailing envelope with base cards.
